China standard for porosity defects of mechanical seal faces

 Porosity defect standard references for all the material mechanical seal faces in ceramic,silicon carbide,tungsten carbide and carbon 

1. Porosity penetrating the ceramic,silicon carbide,tungsten carbide and carbon seal faces/rings is not allowed

2. The visible porosity rates of ceramic,silicon carbide,tungsten carbide and carbon mechanical seal faces/rings are listed as 

   follows at the maximum:only 1 with the porosity less than 0.1mm on the area of the seal faces:equal to or less than 5 cm² and     on the area of the total seal faces between larger than 5 cm² and less than or equal to10 cm² and 3 between larger than 10 and     less than 30 or equal to 30 cm² and 5 on the seal faces larger than 30 cm²

3. There is no crack on the ceramic, silicon carbide,tungsten carbide and carbon mechanical seal faces/rings and any scratch and     inclusion is not allowed

4. The processing requirements for end-faces of ceramic,silicon carbide, tungsten carbide and carbon mechanical seals

   The tolerance of the surface parallellism  is not allowed to be larger than 0.0009mm and the surface roughness is not allowed     to be larger than 0.2 um and the roughness of the contact position between the seal faces and the secondary  elements is not            allowed to be larger than 1.6 mm.

5. The tolerance for the contact inside diameter and the contact outside diameter between mechanical seal faces/rings and the       secondary sealing elements are h8 or H8.
